Frequently asked questions
I typically meet with clients once per week, especially in the beginning as we build a strong therapeutic foundation and begin to explore your history, patterns, and goals. Weekly sessions help maintain momentum and provide consistency for deeper work.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Depending on your needs, we may occasionally schedule longer sessions to allow more space for integration or processing. The length of therapy varies—some people work with me for several months, while others stay for a year or longer. This often depends on the depth of what is being explored and your personal goals for growth and healing.
In our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brings you to therapy and clarify what you would like support with. We will create goals collaboratively in exploring your concerns at a pace that feels safe, and begin identifying patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be influencing your current challenges.
As therapy progresses, we may explore unconscious material, early life experiences, relational dynamics, and behaviors that feel stuck or limiting. I draw from psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and somatic practices to support deeper awareness and emotional regulation.
It is important to know that healing is not always linear—things may feel more difficult before they improve. That is a normal part of the process, and I will be here to support you with tools to stay grounded both in and outside of our sessions.
